SFCC has a limit of a custom object: no more than 400,000 records for all websites.
When records reach 250,000, we’ll start to receive warnings
When records reach 400,000, all websites will stop working correctly because other major custom objects will not be able to work correctly as well
What are included as custom objects?
Newsletter subscription records
Back in stock notification subscription records
Bank promotions
and more…
After the launch of the ‘Back in stock notification’ feature, we assume that these numbers will increase rapidly and substantially.
Our solution
(For Back in stock notification subscription records only)
If the number of total records reach up to 100,000, a notification will be sent to [email protected]
We have set up a specific value within the site preference attribute
We have created an additional job, which it will check the number of records for each website.
If the limit is exceeded, N-oldest records (i.e. 100 records) will be removed automatically.
Limit for each site
Hong Kong: 10,000
Singapore: 8,000
Malaysia: 8,000
Taiwan: 5,000
Thailand: 4,000
China: 4,000
Brunei: 2,000
Total 41,000
This is manageable on BM: Merchant Tools > Site Preferences > Custom Site Preference Groups > Back InStock Notification
