This user guide explains how to update order details with the API. In a production instance, orders must be modified exclusively through the API or job—only Standard-mode imports are allowed in XML import. Imports that use REPLACE or MERGE are not supported, so any existing orders in the file will be skipped.

Locate an API client in Account Manager. Go to https://account.demandware.com/dw/account/APIAdmin#!/, copy the API Client ID for Salesforce Commerce Cloud Admin.
Configure Postman to fetch an access-token.
