The Apple Pay Payment Processing Certificate will be expired in 25 months once issued. When it's expired, the Apple Pay on website storefront would not be able to use. Customer will see the error message "Payment not completed".
If you see this scenario, please go to check if the Apple Pay certificate is expired. You can follow the below steps to check.
1. Login to Adyen Production customer portal: https://ca-live.adyen.com/
2. On the left-hand side of the menu, select Developers > API Credentials.
Select the username "[email protected]_ASIA"
3. Scroll down the page and you will see the "Wallet Payment methods" section, expand the "Apple Pay certificates" section to check if the certificates are expired.
4. If indeed there is an expired certificate, click onto the eye icon, pay attention to the "merchant identifier" name. For the below example, you can see this certificate is for TW.
5. Keep the Adyen page remain opened. Use another browser or screen, go to Apple Developer site: https://developer.apple.com/account/resources/identifiers/list
6. Select Identifiers > App IDs > Merchant IDs
7. Then you will see the list of Identifiers. They are all for Adyen Apple Pay. Find the targeted identifier as we see from step #4 above. Click into it.
8. Back to your Adyen screen, click onto the "add" button, select "use your own certificate" when you see the below pop-up. Then click "continue".
9. At the Apple Developer screen, copy the Identifier name, paste it back to Adyen.
After pasting the identifier, click "Download CSR". Keep the file. Click "Continue" to step 2.
And also hit "continue" here to proceed to step 3.
You will then see this screen, pause and hold on here.
10. Back to Apple Developer screen, under "Apple Pay Payment Processing Certificate", hit "generate certificate".
11. Click "no" here, and hit "continue"
12. Upload the CSR file that we generated from step #9 above, and hit "continue"
13. Then download the certificate here by clicking "download"
14. Back to Adyen screen, upload the cert file we obtained from the above step #11, and hit "continue" to finish the whole update process.
15. You can click the eye icon to once again confirm.
If confirmed, the expired old certificate can be deleted
** Don't forget to also update the certificates on the Adyen TEST environment!! Same process.
